That’s right ladies and gents! Fallout 4 is my number 5!
I have wanted to play this game for so God damn long, but not having a PS4, or a PC strong enough to play it (however, due to my new xmas pressie that is sorted and I’m so excited, already purchased it). I have been a massive fan of the Fallout series for a long time and this is everything and more to add to that collection!
Synopsis:
‘Fallout 4 is an open-world role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. In it, the player begins as a parent and spouse in the year 2077, but then must enter Vault 111 to survive the nuclear apocalypse.
The player becomes the last remaining survivor of Vault 111 as he/she emerges into the nuclear wasteland in 2287, amidst the ruins of the city of Boston.'(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4741306/plotsummary)
Why do I want to play it?
Why wouldn’t I!? This game series has inspired a lot of my project and the work I want to create. It captivates and intrigues a certain type of player. Scavenging, re-building and surviving (no matter what the wasteland) is key to this franchise, and the design aspects (story, set, music…everything, just everything) is crucial to its structure.
I adore games with a strong story, beautiful music and places to explore and learn about the environment/setting I have been dropped into. Fallout has it all. Hell, I’d happily just sit on my little porch in the wasteland and drink some Nuka-Cola and listen to the Ink Spots all day if I could…
And soon, I can…
I hope you enjoyed this, take a look (if you can get one) at the history of Fallout book, it’s a really nice read if your a fan. If you haven’t played any of the games, you should, it’s a bumpy ride, but you will feel like your hours are rewarded once you find what you need (It’s so rewarding to scavenge and finally find that missing piece of whatever your looking for, after killing the mutants/radroaches/ Deathclaw).
So get your Pip Boy ready, feed your dog, and snuggle down for the nuclear winter, it’s going to get apocalyptic (once again) in the wasteland!
For now, this will have to keep us going, thanks for reading!
