‘Happy people have no history’

I thought this might be quite a nice feature on this blog, please feel free to comment with a game you REALLY want to play.
Each week I will do a short post about a game I would like to play, give a bit of info, and why.
So, here we go.
Number one on my list, when it comes out, is ‘We Happy Few’, by Compulsion Games.
Synopsis:
‘We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial. Set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England, you’ll have to blend in with its other inhabitants, who have their own set of not-so-normal rules.
Currently announced for Xbox One, Windows, Mac and Linux, We Happy Few is currently on Microsoft Game Preview / Steam Early Access. The Mac and Linux version will arrive shortly after the final release of the game.’ (http://compulsiongames.com/en/10/we-happy-few)
Why do I want to play this?
It has a real Bioshock feel to it, with a ‘The Prisoner’ twist. I love the idea that your aim is to escape, but in doing so you MUST conform to the towns ways (or else you simply wont survive).
But most of all, I want to play it to see what ‘Uncle Jack’ has in store. The guys at Compulsion have so much material with this talented actor portraying their TV/Radio/Big Brother style character (and its given me a lot to think about for my own project). Below i will attach one of the Kickstarter videos they released that gave me a EUREKA moment, involving actually interviewing (developer to in-game character) a person within the game world.
Happy watching!
